If R is a noetherian integral domain with integral closure T,
must it follow that the maximal ideals in T are finitely generated?

と問うたもの。

Ｎｏｅｔｈｅｒ環の整閉包（導来正規環）については，
１次元，２次元の場合はＮｏｅｔｈｅｒ環であるが，３次元以上では
反例が存在し，一般にＮｏｅｔｈｅｒ環とはならない。
しかし，知られている反例では全て極大イデアルが有限生成であり，
ひそかにその成立が予想されている。
